I bought this book for my son, to entertain him and also to educate him about the weather. I figured he'd find it interesting as he does seem to like these kind of factual books.What surprised me though was that he became fascinated with the weather! He is now a little expert about tornados and extreme weather patterns, and also proudly states which cities have the highest level of precipitation and where the coldest parts of the world are!
The book is short enough so that it's not overwhelming, but it also has plenty of information and good photos as well.
This book has opened my son's eyes to a whole new world and I've actually learned a lot from it was well - I highly recommend this book!!

An excellent educational book for children which not only defines weather but delves into cloud types as well. There is also an in depth explanation of the water cycle and how it affects the weather.
It also discusses thunderstorms, lightning, hurricanes and tornadoes and weather forecasting.
I thought the facts listed at the end were entertaining, as well. For example, when lightning strikes, the speed may be as fast as 60000 miles per second. No wonder it can come out of the blue!
Well done and your children should enjoy this one!
